Mind Map in Whiteboards makes it easy to collaborate with your team and brainstorm alongside your tasks. Use Mind Map to easily break down complex ideas for project management, business strategy planning, software product development, and more!

Whiteboards are available on every ClickUp Plan.
The number of Whiteboards that can be created depends on your Plan:
Free Forever: 3 Whiteboards
Unlimited: 10 Whiteboards
Business, Business Plus, and Enterprise: no limit
Guests can use Whiteboards.
If using Google Chrome, we recommend enabling hardware acceleration.
Understand Mind Maps
Mind Maps start with a main idea, or node. Nodes representing related concepts branch off from it horizontally and vertically.
Mind Maps are great for professional and personal project planning. Create a Mind Map for website management, marketing campaigns, home renovation, time management, or note-taking.
Add a Mind Map to a Whiteboard
From an open Whiteboard, click the Mind Map button in the Whiteboard toolbar.
Click into the Whiteboard to add your first node.
Click the plus button to add a connector and a new node.
You can also press
Enterto add a related node vertically or
Tabto add one horizontally.
Customize a Mind Map
Like the other Whiteboards objects, Mind Maps have an Object menu you can use to customize your work.
The Object menu for the main node of a Mind Map has two more options than the related nodes.
After adding a main node, click the Connector Type button to choose a connector style.
After adding a related node, use the Align button to automatically position the nodes.
Tip: To add a new line of text you can press
Shift + Return.
Use the Rich Text menu to:
Change the font size.
Bold, italicize, or underline text.
Insert a link.
Click the ellipsis ... to copy, delete, or arrange the elements of the Mind Map in relation to each other on your Whiteboard.
