Link tasks and Docs together to easily create relationships and connect content with your work!

If you paste a link to a Doc within a task, we'll automatically add a link back to the task in that Doc.

Likewise, if you paste a link to a task within a Doc, we'll automatically add a link to the Doc in the task. 

Link a Doc to a task using @ mentions or copy and paste the link in the task description or a comment.

  1. Open any task

  2. Type @@@ into the task description or a comment to @ mention a Doc

  3. Search and select a Doc

  4. Or just paste a link to a Doc

  5. A backlink is automatically created

  1. Open a Doc

  2. Click Related from the Doc header options to see where the Pages and tasks where the Doc is linked

  1. Open any Doc

  2. To @ mention a task in your Doc type @@

  3. Search for and select a task

  4. Or just paste a link to a task

  5. A backlink is automatically created

  1. Open a task

  2. Scroll down to Relationships

  3. The Backlinks Relationship table will show any tasks or Docs where this task has been @ mentioned

You can also link to a Doc directly from a task.

When viewing a task:

  1. Select the + next to Relationships below the task description

  2. Select Doc under the Add New Relationship Menu

  3. Select the Doc you wish to add to the task

Examples

  1. When working on a Roadmap Doc, add multiple links to all the tasks with the features you are working on.

  2. When preparing a meeting, create Doc outline with task links to the tasks you'll be referencing in the meeting so people will be able to find the meeting notes from within the tasks they are working on.
