Important: This feature is in Beta and is currently only available for Chrome and Firefox. It is not available on mobile.
We all know the frustration of trying to record your desktop using Loom or other video apps, but those days are over! Record and view videos right in your Chrome or Firefox browser with Clip!
How to Record
- Open any task OR click the apps selection icon (bottom right) anywhere in your Workspace
- Click on the "Record Clip" icon
- Choose to record:
- Your entire screen
- An app window
- A Chrome tab - Click
Share
- Click the record icon to stop the recording
- If in a task, your Clip will available in the comments section to download or attach as a comment. If using the apps selection icon - a toast message will appear in the bottom left of your Workspace with the option to Create a new Task or Copy a Link.
Note: If you are on a Free Forever Plan, recordings from Clip will take up storage space. Learn more about the storage available on our plans here.
If your video is getting stuck uploading, download it to ensure you never lose it!
Clip Permissions
For Mac users, in order to use Clip, follow the steps below to enable the option from your privacy & permissions settings:
- Click on the Apple logo on the top left of the menu bar
- Click on
System Preferences
- Click on the
Security & Privacy icon
4. From the modal, scroll down to Screen Recording
section and check Google Chrome
5. Click Quit now
and restart the Browser
How to Share
Attach your videos to a task and easily share the attachment link with anyone!
Option 1:
- Record a Clip
- Click the
...
menu - Select
Copy Link
- Share your Clip!
Option 2:
- Record a Clip
- Paste the recording
- Select the clipboard icon
- Share your Clip!
Note: Guests in your Workspace will not have access to Clip.
