How Long Does an Import Take?
Starting the import process generally takes 2 to 10 minutes. After you've confirmed the import, the actual importing time can vary between 1 minute to a few hours. This is entirely based on how much data you have in Wrike as well as Wrike's rate limits.
Since Wrike does rate limit the import, we have to throttle the speed to ensure we don't hit the rate limit.
We'll send you an email as soon as your import is done!
How to Start an Import from Wrike
- Click on your profile avatar in the lower left section of your screen
- Select Import/Export
- Click the Wrike button
- In the pop-up, allow ClickUp to access your Wrike account
After authorizing ClickUp to import your Wrike data, you'll be presented with three steps.
1. Import Spaces
Match your spaces in Wrike to Spaces in ClickUp and we'll automatically import tasks into the Space. You also have the option to create new Spaces from those in Wrike. Learn more about the ClickUp Hierarchy here.
- Existing Space: Import tasks into an existing ClickUp Space. Top level folder will be preserved in ClickUp and all nested folders and projects will be converted to Lists
- New Space: We will create a new Space in ClickUp to import your tasks
On the left side, you'll see all spaces from Wrike.
On the right side is how you're mapping into ClickUp.
We're able to automatically import the following details from Wrike. Here is how they will transfer:
Projects: Wrike Projects import into ClickUp as Lists. They do not have to be nested in folders within Wrike in order to be brought over!
Folders: Top level folders will be migrated into ClickUp as a Folders. Nested folders with tasks and projects will all be converted to Lists within the Folder.
Workflows: Workflows in Wrike are equivalent to statuses in ClickUp. We will scan all tasks in a List and add those flows as statuses on the List level.
Tasks: These will import as tasks inside ClickUp.
Additionally we will bring in:
- Start Date
- Due Date
- Time Tracked
Subtasks: We will import all subtasks included nested subtasks as subtasks to the parent task.
Note: Unfortunately, we don't support importing of the following:
- Custom Field: Formula
- Custom Field: Percentage
2. Import Users (optional)
Map Wrike users to ClickUp users in order to preserve assignees, history, and item activity. If you don't map users, the data will still be imported, but will not be synced to a ClickUp user and assignees that aren't mapped to ClickUp will not be preserved.
If you haven't already added users into ClickUp, simply select invite by email to invite and map automatically.
Include closed to-dos from Wrike by selecting:

Now standby! You'll be in a better place soon. 😉
Pro Tip: If you're done with your import and are ready to move stuff around, make sure to take advantage of our Multitask Toolbar!
