Use Slack actions

Have you ever wanted to create a ClickUp task about a message in Slack? Or maybe you've found yourself copying a message and pasting it into a task in ClickUp...

Now, you can take ACTION inside Slack and do these actions with the ClickUp Bot: 

1. Attach Slack messages to ClickUp tasks

2. Create ClickUp tasks out of Slack messages 

Attach Comment: Attach Slack messages to ClickUp tasks

With this method, the Slack message will be copied as a "quote" style within a ClickUp comment. We'll also include the link back to the Slack comment. 

1. Hover over a message

2. Click the ellipses ... to reveal more message shortcuts

3. Click Attach comment 

4. Type to search for a task- Optional: Choose a task from your Tray!

5. Click Add to submit the comment- Optional: Share the task with the new comment in your channel

Create a Task: Create ClickUp tasks out of Slack messages

With this method, the Slack message will be copied to the ClickUp Task's description, along with a Slack link back to the comment.

1. Hover over a message

2. Click the ellipses ...  to reveal more message shortcuts

3. Click Create a task  

4. Follow the ClickUp Bot prompts to create your task! 

Save Slack Messages to your Notepad

Send message directly to your Notepad for later reference!

1. Hover over a message

2. Click the ellipses ... to reveal more message shortcuts

3. Click Save to Notepad   

This creates a brand new note in your Notepad. You can even create tasks from these notes later if desired! 

Authorize Slack from the 'Integrations' page

Note: only Workspace admins have access to integrations. 

1. Visit the Integrations page in Workspace Settings

2. Click the Slack button

3. Grant ClickUp access to your Slack team

Authorizing allows you to access all of the cool Slack features such as unfurling links and creating new tasks!
